Keeping your BIOS updated can improve system stability, add features, and ensure compatibility with new hardware.
Steps
- Check Your BIOS Version
- Open the System Information app in Windows and look for the BIOS Version/Date field.
- Download the Update
- Visit your motherboard manufacturer’s website.
- Download the correct firmware for your model.
- Follow the Update Process
- Copy the update to a USB drive.
- Boot into BIOS and select the Flash BIOS or Update Firmware option.
- Caution: Do not interrupt the update process, as it can render your system inoperable.
