How to Update Your BIOS Firmware

Introduction

Keeping your BIOS updated can improve system stability, add features, and ensure compatibility with new hardware.

Steps

1. Check Your BIOS Version
   • Open the System Information app in Windows and look for the BIOS Version/Date field.
2. Download the Update
   • Visit your motherboard manufacturer’s website.
   • Download the correct firmware for your model.
3. Follow the Update Process
   • Copy the update to a USB drive.
   • Boot into BIOS and select the Flash BIOS or Update Firmware option.
4. Caution: Do not interrupt the update process, as it can render your system inoperable.
